All players must know the Rules of Play and also The Code (USTA).
Practice is normally scheduled 5 days/week. Matches may be scheduled both during the week and on weekends. All players must study our tennis calendars and advise a Varsity Coach of any academic or other conflicts at least 5 days in advance.
The Varsity-1 agrees in writing to a mission statement that they take part in authoring.
Varsity-1 participation involves sacrifice, commitment and a willingness to improve. Hard work in practice and in competition is expected. All players are to participate in all tennis and training activities and to make up missed time
To retain varsity status, players must clearly demonstrate a consistent, high level of commitment to the mission statement.
Additional opportunities for training are available, but not required (e.g. Intense Tennis at noon on Thursdays.)All players must know the Rules of Play and The code (USTA).
While Varsity-2 tennis places higher emphasis on learning and drilling than on competition, intra-squad and intercollegiate match play are scheduled.
Practice is scheduled 3 days/week (Monday through Wednesday). All players must study our tennis calendars and advise a Varsity-2- Playing Squad coach of any academic or other conflicts at least 5 days in advance.
The Varsity-2 -Playing Squad match schedule is generally set only 1 or 2 weeks in advance . Players must be able to commit to these matches in a weekly basis. Five matches are currently scheduled for the fall.

Training squad places emphasis on learning and drilling. Intra-squad competition and local competition will help the players to understand the game and the importance of basic skills needed to compete successfully.
All players must study our tennis calendars and advise a JV-Training Squad coach of any academic or other conflicts at least 5 days in advance.
In order to maintain good standing on the Training Squad and be considered for JV-Playing Squad status, the following criteria must be met:

Completion of assigned challenge matches and goals as assigned.
